The Municipality of Gwanda informs residents of a scheduled water supply interruption affecting selected areas due to essential maintenance work on the main pipeline system. Water supply is expected to be restored once repairs are completed.
The Municipality of Gwanda wishes to notify all residents that there will be a planned water supply interruption on 14 May 2026.
This interruption is necessary to allow maintenance teams to carry out essential repairs and upgrades to the main water distribution pipeline serving Gwanda Central and surrounding suburbs.
Affected areas include:
- Gwanda Central Business District
- Jahunda Residential Area
- Spitzkop and nearby zones
Duration:
08:00 AM – 05:00 PM (subject to completion of works)
Residents are advised to store enough water in advance and use it sparingly during this period. The municipality apologizes for any inconvenience caused and appreciates public cooperation.
Water supply will be restored immediately after maintenance is completed, and pressure may take some time to normalize fully.
